I was done a while ago....

I didn't have the time to upload the photos.  I wasn't really happy with the results.  I made the large case, but my phone hardly fits in it!  That SWS really shrinks up. Still have to put a button on it.  I think I would rather one that isn't felted!  I don't like the texture either.
Too bumpy for me.

Next I will be working on a quiet book for my niece.  I am kind of excited about it.  I got most of the things I need, Got to go back to Joann today to use my coupon for the interfacing (and Mccall's patterns 99 cents!)  Must. add. to. stash.

almost done...

Just a few more rows, seaming, then felting.  I am excited, because I love to felt!  Sad I know....
I love the colors, just wish there was more blue.  Hopefully I will finish tonight!

Here it is!  This is what I am going to make this weekend while traveling.  This felted camera case looks fairly simple, but I'm going to make it for my cell phoneout of SWS.  Wish me luck!

How to save tutorials

Just thought I would share how to save a tutorial from a blog or (any other web page for that matter) without printing it right away.  I forgot to mention that I am also a pattern and tutorial hoarder!  If something seems interesting to me- I save it...you never know!  I found out the hard way a few times by simply putting the page in my favorites and when I revisited it, it was gone.

Anyway, start by downloading PrimoPDF.  Its free and easy to use!  It installs as a printer on your computer.  So when you come to a page you want to save, highlight everything you want (you can leave out the ads this way) and right click.

 Select print preview.

Then when the preview window comes up, choose "As selected on screen".

See?  It only has the part you really want to keep!  Now choose the print button.  Click on PrimoPDF and click print.  It will ask you where to save, and here you can change the filename.

What a paper saver!

NO ZIPPER_-Ican't believe it!

I run into this problem alot. I have more craft and sewing supplies than a person would ever need, but I am always missing one element! grrrr! I think I will knit something instead, maybe this..

I know I have enough paton wool for this, and several size 10 needles(don't know why!)  We'll see!

Box Bag
Little Boxy Pouch by Penny, three bears

This adorable...time to look in my drawer for a zipper...I'm sure I have one!

What now: Always something!

My husband says to me, "What now?" I don't think he means sound condescending, but...

While I was cleaning out my craft room, I realized how many projects I have ideas for. A bookshelf full of beading mags with sticky notes. Drawers full of beads. I buy fabric, not having any idea what I will do with it. Until now! I have finished a project. Took me a couple days to make it. I didn't have to buy anything! I am a sucker for a clearance bin. I have buttons, notions, fabric paint, polymer clay, more yarn than I know what to do with, purse latches, paint pens, blocks of wood, fabrics that were to cheap to pass up- less than 1 yard-why? You never know!

So this blog will be devoted to projects...sometimes they fade from my mind. Notes get lost. Here I will be able to remember! HA! What now? You never know!
